I provide AC maintenance and cleaning services in Budapest and Pest County. Over time, dust builds up in the indoor unit, and mold and bacteria can take hold – a thorough chemical bag-wash solves this: I seal the indoor unit with a special bag so the rinse water drains away cleanly, with no mess.

What does AC cleaning include?

• Chemical bag-wash of both the indoor and outdoor unit – a thorough rinse of the heat exchanger and fan roller.
• Washing the filters, checking the condensate drain.
• Disinfection against mold and bacteria – also eliminates unpleasant odors.
• Checking the refrigerant level and overall operation of the unit.

How often should an AC be serviced?

Most home air conditioners need just one thorough cleaning a year, ideally before the start of the season, in spring. Where the unit runs heavily and year-round (offices, small shops), or there are pets in the home, it's worth doing it twice a year. Users can vacuum the filters themselves every few weeks, but the chemical wash of the heat exchanger requires a professional and the right equipment.
